Adding hardwood flooring to your kitchen can give your home a more unified look and feel by extending the flow from one room to the other.

With so many choices now-a-days, we can really customize the look of our kitchens by choosing from hundreds of types of hardwood flooring products. The ever popular "white kitchens" were not possible when your choice back in the day was brown or browner. Now homeowners are spending the time to really think about the impact the floor will have on the kitchen design. Why not go with light colored cabinates and match your flooring with the colour of your appliances, or match everything the same and use decorative items to highlight the colours you want to stand out. This way you can change the "feel" of your kitchen without having to do any renovations!

Any way that you go, you can't go wrong when you pick a very high quality flooring product for your home. Just make sure you talk to an expert to make sure you get the right hardness and finish for your kitchen flooring.

Be Creative, it's more fun!

Then you have to consider, not only what you like, but return on investment. Do you want to spend $12,000 redoing your floors if it is going to bring your home value down? Yeah I didn’t think so either. Alternately, it’s important to ask yourself the question: how long do you see yourself living in this house? The typical resident stays in a house for just under 10 years. If you’re planning on flipping the house, you will (likely) be looking for the cheapest option with the best resale value; whereas if you’re planning on living in the house for several years, you’re better off considering what will bring you a happiness.

Be Happy where you spend the most time.

Your kitchen is the heart of your home, and it is the room that you likely spend the most time in. So what is the best hardwood floor for your kitchen? Well, There are so many good choices that I wouldn't worry about make the perfect choice, instead I would I would argue that we should make the BEST choice. Once you install your floor you are going to naturally wonder... "Maybe I should have gone darker... or maybe wider planks would be better." Stop, everyone sets themself up for doubt by second guessing their choice, make it simple for yourself, don't buy the perfect floor instead just buy the best you can.

Good luck on your choice and don't forget that we can help you make the best choice and the right one.
